Workshop Objectives & Outcomes:
"We will discuss brain-based teaching strategies based upon current research in cognitive psychology and explore several applications of classroom technology that support these strategies. Participants will have an opportunity to apply these discoveries about perception, memory, motivation, and learning to ways that can help children succeed in the classroom. Participants should bring curriculum materials; time will be provided to enhance an existing unit plan or create general tools that can be used with students to support learning throughout the year."
During portions of this workshop, we will explore the links below together or you can work through them at your own pace. Any time you want to return to this main page, click on the CASD Logo at the top left corner of the page.
The content for this workshop is from a graduate course I attended at Wilkes University.
At 3:15, go to the reflections page and complete your "ticket out the door" assignment to get your workshop evaluation. Don't forget to leave your headphones in the basket on your way out. Thanks! :)
